Our Nursery settings

Spaces designed

for learning

Our environments are designed with intention. We see children as capable communicators, collaborators and meaning-makers, and our classrooms reflect this belief.

Every space is thoughtfully organised to promote independence, curiosity and connection - where children feel valued and inspired to explore.

“If you believe the child to be inquisitive and creative, competent and capable, intelligent and whole, then you will create environments which reflect this.”

Loris Malaguzzi, founder of the Reggio Emilia approach

Spaces designed with purpose

The third teacher

Lighting, mirrors, natural materials and carefully presented loose parts create calm, open-ended spaces that invite investigation. A wide range of inclusive books, fabrics, instruments and artwork reflect the cultures of our school community. The environment is not decoration - it is part of the learning.

Making learning visible

Our educators document children’s ideas and investigations through photography, notes and displays. This ongoing documentation shows children that their thinking is noticed and valued, placing importance on process as much as outcome. Children see themselves as learners.

The environment as teacher

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, we recognise three teachers in a child’s education: families, educators and the environment itself. We believe children flourish in spaces filled with empathy, wonder and joy — environments that invite them to express their ideas in many different ways.

Parks and Local Exploration

As school-based nurseries rooted in our community, learning extends beyond the classroom. Children regularly visit local parks and explore the world around them, observing nature, change and everyday life.

These real experiences spark curiosity and rich conversation. Back in nursery, we reflect through discussion and photographs, deepening children’s understanding of the community they belong to.
